Ringkasan Cerita FILM TROPIC THUNDER (2008) :

Tug Speedman (Ben Stiller) adalah seorang bintang film laga yang terkenal. Bersama Kirk Lazarus (Robert Downey Jr.) dan Jeff Portnoy (Jack Black), Tug masuk dalam jajaran pemeran dari sebuah film perang kolosal. Kirk Lazarus adalah bintang film yang telah memenangkan banyak piala Oscar sementara Jeff Portnoy adalah bintang spesialis film-film komedi.

Sang sutradara memutuskan film perang kolosal ini mengambil lokasi shooting di sebuah negara di Asia Tenggara untuk membuat suasana lebih nyata. Tapi setelah pengambilan gambar berjalan beberapa waktu, biaya yang makin membengkak membuat sang produser memutuskan untuk menghentikan pembuatan film ini.

Namun sang sutradara yang sudah merasa terlibat dalam dengan film arahannya ini akhirnya malah membawa para pemerannya ke dalam hutan rimba untuk pengambilan gambar. Di sinilah akhirnya mereka semua harus berhadapan dengan perang sesungguhnya. Mau tak mau, para pemeran itu harus ikut berperang untuk bisa keluar dari hutan rimba itu dengan selamat.

Ip Man mulai mempelajari Wing Chun atau salah satu cabang ilmu bela diri kung fu sejak ia berusia tiga belas tahun. Kecintaannya pada ilmu bela diri ini membuatnya rela berkorban banyak demi mengembangkan ilmu bela diri ini. Setelah lama mempelajari Wing Chun, Ip Man memutuskan untuk membuka perguruan sendiri.

Banyak orang yang sempat berguru pada master Wing Chun yang satu ini dan beberapa di antara muridnya kemudian menjadi terkenal meski nama Ip Man sendiri jarang dikenal orang. Salah satu murid Ip Man yang banyak dikenal adalah Bruce Lee yang sempat berguru pada Ip Man selama lima tahun.

Film IP MAN ini diadaptasi dari kisah nyata kehidupan sang master Wing Chun ini. Sang sutradara, Wilson Yip, memutuskan untuk lebih memfokuskan film ini pada penjajahan Jepang di China sekitar tahun 30-an dan menyoroti bagaimana Ip Man yang sangat mencintai negerinya menolak mengajarkan Wing Chun pada tentara Jepang saat itu.

Johnny English (Rowan Atkinson) memang bukan James Bond meskipun dua-duanya adalah agen rahasia Inggris. Kalau James Bond disebut sebagai agen terbaik, Johnny English malah sebaliknya. Lima tahun sebelumnya Johnny ditugaskan dalam sebuah misi rahasia yang ternyata malah berakhir sangat kacau. Johnny tak hanya disalahkan atasannya tapi juga menanggung malu. Karena itu juga akhirnya Johnny akhirnya memutuskan mengasingkan diri dan tinggal di dalam gua di Tibet.

Misi di Mozambique lima tahun silam memang sebuah aib besar. Johnny English merasakan pukulan dahsyat dan tak sanggup lagi berhadapan dengan para koleganya. Lima tahun berlalu dan Johnny masih belum bisa melupakan kejadian pahit itu. Suatu saat Johnny bertemu seorang biarawan yang bersedia melatih Johnny ilmu bela diri. Ternyata ini baru awal dari perjalanan baru Johnny English. Tak lama kemudian Johnny dihubungi MI7 dan diminta untuk kembali bertugas.

Di London, Johnny ternyata mendapatkan tugas baru. Ada rumor kalau sekawanan pemberontak di Asia Tenggara sedang merencanakan aksi besar-besaran. Mereka sedang membangun senjata nuklir Johnny ditugaskan untuk memastikan China berada di pihak Inggris. Johnny English juga harus memastikan usaha pembunuhan terhadap kepala negara China gagal. Bukan tugas yang ringan tapi sekarang Johnny English sudah bukan agen rahasia konyol seperti dulu lagi. Atau malah sebenarnya tak ada yang berubah dengan sosok Johnny English?

A lone-wolf Hollywood stunt driver (Ryan Gosling) moonlights as a freelance getaway wheelman, and he finds his solitary existence taking on new meaning after befriending Irene (Carey Mulligan), the lonely wife of convicted felon Standard (Oscar Isaac), and her young son Benicio (Kaden Leos).

When Standard gets released from prison and is strong-armed into committing a bold daytime robbery, the Driver offers his services in an effort to help the repentant ex-con cut his ties to the criminal underworld. Things get complicated, however, when the robbery goes unexpectedly awry, and the Driver just barely manages to escape alive.

When the take from the job proves to be stratospherically higher than the Driver was led to believe, it quickly becomes apparent that they were set up. Later, thugs threaten to kill Irene and Benicio, and all evidence points to transplanted New York crime boss Bernie Rose (Albert Brooks) and his hot-headed partner Nino (Ron Perlman) as the masterminds.

As the Driver attempts to turn the tables on them, it becomes clear that the chain of command goes much higher than he could have ever anticipated

Leopold — a man living in the 1870s — is puzzled by Stuart’s tiny camera, follows him back through the gap, and they both ended up in the present day.

Leopold is clueless about his new surroundings. He gets help and insight from Charlie who thinks that Leopold is an actor who is always in character. Leopold is a highly intelligent man and tries his best to learn and even improve the modern conveniences that he encounters.
